You can’t execute a Nik Plugin file other than inside a host application like Photoshop.There are the Plugins files which are required by the likes of Photoshop and there are the application files which may be required by other applications. When you install the Nik Collection to your computer, two versions of the applications are installed.There are three important points to understand from all of this: Where there are multiple hard drives, each one has a different letter to distinguish it.
